@ralph (@‘ing you because you give tips and they’re easy to understand)

I’ve been getting back into animation and I’m starting with an anim of Benny flopping over and his jaw unhinging, I’m stuck at the point where I want his head to quickly jerk upwards but I want to make it look natural, any tips?

    • I suggest you use twinning for it

      • Replying to: Brian HumphreyI suggest you use twinning for it

That would look unnaturally smooth, I’d suggest fast as fucc boi FPS, or no easing, in-between frames at all.

    • well the simplest answer is do not tween from that frame to the next frame (head jerked up) but then add a frame or two of the head easing into position (very very subtle movement to stationary)

if you wanna get crazy, do the same, but add smearing

aka an effect for 1 frame that simulates extreme movement, it looks weird when looking at it when it’s not moving but seems natural in animation
