I’m most likely not going to add that one hat, but I left it there so people know which outfit that is referencing. It was surprisingly hard to accurately portray his jacket over a shirt, but I think I got somewhere.

Decals are your best friend
How so?
I use mascara and blush decals on my characters’ faces to make them not look awkward. The eyes pop out with the mascara and the blush gives them a warm sort of feeling.
There are obviously different kinds of mascara and blush you can use, I just chose to do it this way for a specific effect. He also has freckles as an additional thing
As an additional point, mess with the face poses to get the expression you want. Also start fiddling with the head softness
