(Rant warning) When the mclaren f1 (the record holder of the world’s fastest production car for a while) was in development, they choose to use actual fucking gold in the engine bay because it conducted heat better. That’s why it’s so expensive, and that’s also why they are not common at all (Sorry for the rant)
