It is an oceanic predator of opportunity, this means that it feeds or preys on creatures that were in extreme disease and injury. Nicknamed the “sand shark” he partially buries his body and waits for some animal to appear or die near you.
Sand sharks usually live near “death pools” places where oxygen is severely lacking and there are several chemical substances that kill the animals that approach. Sand sharks adapted to this environment have far too much resistance to pools of death, and they tend to close in quickly to capture prey and then flee.
They usually live at a depth of up to 2 km, and there are several adaptations to this environment, such as different sensors and very poor eyesight compared to normal sand sharks.
