Austria-Hungary issues ultimatum
On July 23rd, 1914, the country of Austria-Hungary issues a harsh ultimatum to Serbia, caused by the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, that aimed to result in an absolute Austrian victory. This would later lead to the outbreak of the Great War, or WW1, not even a week later.
