Now for the lore.

In a future that is odd. A weird mix of the two extreme fantasies of the future. An apocalyptic wasteland and a new era of technology. It started off as a beautiful future, advanced technology everywhere, then we ruined it. Used this technology for war, destroyed our planet. Then we made ships. Some of us left. Most of us stayed. Those who left mostly returned. Except for one group. The group of three ships known as the carter, the venturer, and the titanic(named after its huge size). The frigate ships. With the titanic a giant, the venturer a tiny corvette and the carter a small frigate. They didn’t return for twenty years. But 10 years in we got a distress call from the carter. There was no talking, but there was awful noise. The sound of stabs and screams. Some twisted noise of bones being snapped and then there was The Noise. The one that made kids scream. The one the made people pass out. It was a body being mangled, then you could hear every bone crack and every joint pop. Then the video feed came up, the body was the captain’s and some weird black stuff with lines of grey. It was crawling up his dead body and twisting it. When it reached his head, the body didn’t belong to the captain, it belonged to that weird stuff. A long tongue came out of a mouth of jagged teeth. Then the creature screeched. It started as a hiss and become a high pitched shrill scream. Then the feed and the call cut. Ten years later the ships arrived. We shot at them and exploded them. We thought we stopped the problem.
