    • It’s quite tricky to explain how to make pixel stickfigures because in truth we have no tool to emulate pixel creations although we might at some point, for now though we’ll just have to make do.

I’d say if you’re making a sword for example, what I might do would be to position the square base node to the handle of the sword where it would be held, then another node extending to near the edge or over the edge of the sword, this is dependent on whether you want it to smart-stretch or not but it can still work if it’s near the edge rather than over.

That aside you then want to lay out a foundation so choose any pixel you’d like to work from, ideally from a side not from the centre and then use a segment or another square equal length shape to make a ‘pixel’, from there make sure all sides are equal by adjusting the length and thickness.

At this point you can now begin constructing the sword in which you can place down copies of the first positioned ‘pixel’ and then just colour them so they are what the reference if you use one will look like. If you are done with your first row of pixels move to the next by once again copying the pixel at the top or where you want the row to start and set the thickness to 0 ( not the length, it’s important not to change the length here ). From this point just rinse and repeat the same process of colouring and copy-pasting the pixels.

If you want to add smart-stretch then from the start you should make sure the length is what will be changing so if the sword is upright then make sure your pixels are only adjusting upright length-wise, not by thickness so if you stretch them they stretch up or down the sword, not sideways etc. from here just make all pixels stretchy including the starting row pixels with no thickness and that should be it.

There’s the ‘comprehensive’ guide for you, hopefully it helped.
