What I mean by traditional and familiar animation style is a more fluid, smoother style like you said, with added weight to characters instead of an ecstatic and exaggerated form characteristic of an animation I did recently testing it out.

When he is turning his head, maybe make both his eyes facing forward, it’s not hard to do and goes a long way
