I got some feedback for you too

1. Throwing the knife at point blank range seems counterproductive, it’s like using a hairdryer to warm up some soup or something comparable to that. For the sake of animation it’s still usable enough but could use some oomph to make it more acceptable.

2. Following on from my first point directly to add more oomph you could do something like, use two colours only red and black, red for the characters and the knife and black for the floor, blood and then with maybe a gradient of a dark gray to seperate the black background and floor, have this colour separation of red and black display briefly on the moment of impact with the knife or something around the moment.
