Sorry for raging on you last time dude , I was at my worst that day and said shit I didn’t mean…
Though I could help with some tips I guess
Arms should be like to the length of the mid-thigh section
Add more rag to his pants , either baggy like some jumper suit (LuLu’s figures are good examples) , or add a simple Jeans design to them
For the torso , add a division with the neck , either make it opened like a collar shirt , or maybe even going over the neck , Turtle Necks make any man look slick and fashionable
Add more flair design to the boots . Either maybe like simple laces , which could be done with the right eclipse layering
Make his neck a bit more forward , not just straight up hunch back , but a normal person doesn’t have his neck Protrude from their torso like that and it could make it look nicer
Add a better more manly chin that diverges from his head currently
Give him a nose that protrudes downwards yet still indents on top , looks weird with the slope
Lighten up that check gradient to 50% of what it currently is , looks more like a smudge

Add a custom muscle design to him , don’t just copy and paste Nicky or something , every gif you make , try to do it completely from scratch so they look cooler. Yeah you can of course reuse stuff to hard to remake , but muscles , legs , etc , look fabulous when don’t different each time
Make his clothes also sag off for cut off his from his body over all , it all looks skin tight currently
Make the hair ending on the left side come closer to the face , looks wack like that
People tend to say to edge out segments with a round ending but sharp edges such as normal segments and even triangles could look way better then any round shape could even dream of , if done right

Take Alisdair for example , if you could pull some of this stuff you could probably have something probably better then what I pulled off , from top to bottom , it’s all custom segments
His hair stays close to his face , with his ear poking out instead of making a “river” through it and stuff
His eyes have multiple moving parts , from his eye lids to his eye brows and moveable eyes with details to them
His chin also dips downwards and has a bottom stubble to show a bottom heavy muscle indent on his face
His neck is entirely covered with his “scarf” on the top of the torso , which carries over limb consistency instead of sloppy changes left and right
The top of the torso has his giant scarf thingie , adding a nice accent to his overall structure and making it easier to make his neck and head fit in better look wise
His armor has sharp gradients that add a look of rugged and layered metal , with it protruding out from his body (pecs , stomach , back shoulder blades , etc , are all taken over by the slanted layers of segments and trapzoids)
His bottom torso also has distinctive body straps that are different enough to add a new dimension to the character while close enough where it fits nicely in
His arms bulge out intensely , creating a feeling a muscular or heavy armor , with different mish mash of patterns going downwards to add much needed design that should be required , his gloves also are quite big to what people would imagine his hand size would be
The back arm also shows that the bulk of the arms isn’t entirely flesh but actually thick ass armor
His waist has his pants also nicely bulge , but inwards to his torso , showing that he’s skinnier at his waist while also having quite large pants
The thigh pads add a nice cover to what would usually be a empty spot without going to overboard and looking to out there
His little baggy patch adds another rugged touch to him instead of being a simple pocket etc
Knee pads are connected to his bottom legs since they’re supposed to protected his knees , and they’re moved a bit down rather then what people usually do and put it to high which adds a unlikeable effect of the straps and stuff going weirdly through the top and bottom of a leg
His boots while the most simple part , still has a top flap that doesn’t make them look way too flat while not round circle endings , the gradient going down the boot also helps fill in void , while the side zips and notches add a depth to them rather then being foot cylinders
Finally the actual foot part has 2 rows of simple gradients not only contradicting each other in terms of wave pattern but also have different shade going against each other, with the very bottom having triangles and shit to make the gradients look unique rather then segment style
I guess not
I have arrived…

Holy shit man the sheer amount of tips you’ve given me will for sure improve my overall fig making skills. I can’t thank you enough!
P.S Alisdair lookin’ hot as fuck
@ralph , be proud my all father
I’m trying to amend with someone I lashed out on unnecessarily and unwanted-ly
why do i feel like a proud father holy shit im old
gigan basically covered………….everything
but if you want to get unique
(and i use “unique” somewhat ironically here but)
injuries are always cool and give a bit of mystery/backstory

I mean
My guy does have the nose , eye , and chin scars so it’s. It as unique
Something more unique would be a loose accessory , like a feather in a hat , the chain of a watch hanging loosely and swaying , etc
