My favorite memoir was The Wave for many reasons. First, I love the imagery and descriptive language the author used to hook the reader right away. I also loved the feeling of suspense the author created throughout the memoir. The author did a great job of taking a small moment in time and exploding the moment to tell the story in a suspenseful way. Finally, I love how the memoir ended just like it started- with the author and the father holding hands.
