I moved to software primarily used on desktops because I wanted to try using this Non-Display Tablet I bought recently. I was originally gonna stay with ibis paint because it’s an app I used on my mobile device but when I tried looking it up on my laptop, shit costed $25 bucks just to use the app unlimitedly. Though I was given the demo option for free but I only had 1 hour of drawing session PER DAY. That’s capitalism bullshit for you.
By the grace of god there were also alternatives that was recommended to me. The first one being krita. First time using it and immediately got a brain seizure from the amount of doohickeys and complicated UI. Then I found out about medibang— it’s more intuitive than krita but less advanced than ibis paint (it doesn’t have a lasso tool nor a liquify tool 💔) so far it’s a great software to use for drawing. I just wished some tools had better quality in terms of functions. The bucket fill tool was so ass at gap recognition I have to outline everything. I can’t even leave 1 gap of pixel. Theres no liquify tool or a special pen similar to ibis which is bummer because those tools literally compensate for my booty drawing skills.

Been working on a new story and lore concept with my friends these past few weeks. I’d like to show you all an abrupt introduction of it:
This story takes place in the late 15th century during a global invasion by the Peccatum Afferentes, a race of demons from Hell. In this universe, Hell was never created by God. It exists as a realm of pure darkness and the complete absence of light. God is neither omnipotent nor omniscient, and Hell lies beyond the reach of His light. Because of this, the demons grew resentful of creation itself and invaded Earth to steal its light and transform the world into their new Hell. Heaven has already fallen and God has been captured, leaving humanity largely alone to fight for survival.
The first city attacked was Constantinople. In response, humanity formed alliances and military factions to resist the invasion. The main military force is New Rome, a unified Christian power that commands the Marquis I Army, formed by Pope Alfredo Corazon II. Fighting alongside them is the Alhadas Emirate, a Muslim force that views the demons as jinn and believes it is their duty to destroy them. Together they form the primary resistance force known as Marquis II against the Peccatum Afferentes.
Their first major act of defense was building a massive fortified perimeter surrounding Constantinople and the other invaded regions. The area inside this barrier is known as Hell’s Ring, while the wall itself is called the Iron Citadel.
However, humanity is far from united. The Mujahiz Sect is a radical faction that believes aiding New Rome is a betrayal of their faith and that the demonic invasion is not their battle to fight. Another faction known as The Puritans believes Christianity is responsible for the invasion and openly opposes them.
There are also darker groups. The Loyalists are cultists who believe the ruler of Hell, the Ulè, is actually a corrupted form of God. Within them exists the Mortivow Covenant, a cult that practices human sacrifice to appease a death deity they call Ruvè. Another Loyalist branch focuses on industrial warfare, capturing angels and using their divine energy to power machines and weapons.
As the war escalates, it becomes increasingly brutal and industrial. Humanity develops new weapons, armored vehicles, artillery, and fortified defenses to withstand the endless assaults of the Peccatum Afferentes. Despite overwhelming odds, humanity refuses to surrender. Their long-term goal is not only to push the demons back into Hell, but eventually to invade Hell itself and destroy it so that such an invasion can never happen again.
Heavily influenced by Trench Crusade & Warhammer 40k.
