if you meant mixing trhe 2, i mean the colors and designs (like armor) of the new stks mixed with the old base, like for example this character, the purple and stuff of the new design with the old base and also the new mask cause the old one sucks

The word you’re looking for is detail, not realism. And I disagree about the charm of SN being its simplicity.
SN is an art medium. It’s no different in that respect to oil paintings or digital works. Those mediums may have a specific feel to them, but by no means are they (or should they) be limited to them, and SN should be the same. Not that I’m saying you’re wrong to have this opinion or anything, just giving my two pences
