Ralph was right , I need to animate more
Talked to firedino/humble Damien on it
He did pick up on part of the cycle having a jitter and also being a bit longer than the other stride during the running part so I will address that but yeeee
The walk looks perfect, but there’s just something about that run i just find weird.
Itβs kinda hard to tell with how short the run loop is, but try lessening the stop she makes when her foot goes down, that way it looks more like sheβs keeping a steady pace instead of limping
Idk man I havenβt animated a walk cycle in ages
@ralph dad help
the idle bit and walk bit are pretty perfect, kinda look like animations for a game
even the run isn’t far off
the thing about runs, when you got a more complex rig, it’s tougher to cartoon-ize it which is almost necessary
smears and such are often utilized to get a proper feeling of speed, instead of *actually* animating the legs going through the entire motion
see: sonic but it’s a bit extreme

in your case, you may be able to get away with simply skipping those “in-between” frames where the legs cross (or, maybe just smear that one, play with it) and instead kind of just go from contact frame to contact frame with a bit of easing
i can’t believe i put this much effort in, but i actually quickly made an example using the default https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ac4mm8w5iubi5yzx28fax/gayrun.stknds?rlkey=ogjg1z3f6wngv1zmmazcm3wdf&dl=0
theres only 1 in-between frame, and all it needs is some swishiness put on top to give the illusion of fast-moving legs – without this right now it kind of looks like he’s skipping
Thank you dad
Iβll tell mom to let you sleep in bed tonight
___
Also yea Iβm proud of the idle and walk
sike they suck
Youβre sleeping on the couch again
