Dear @Ralph
im gonna be honest with you, the new update is amazing but also brings ALOT of new bugs. Here’s a list of bugs that i’ve been experiencing recently.
•Anything blurred gets less blurred after export
•Framerate is perfect during playback in the app, but after export, everything is too fast.
•All audio is cancelled out on the last frame or plays late during the first playback of any animation.
•With a certain project ive been experiencing high amounts of lag, making it highly difficult for me to animate.
I hope you manage to fix at least on of these bugs (aside from the first playback audio thing, that doesnt bother me but I figured ide add it in)
im here to reply to your “bugs” thing you ve found out
the first one is just a low quality blur on stick nodes meaning that you are not previewing the blur effect at high quality which this is for avoid lag issues when making big and larger projects
-the framerate thing, if you have tweening on this would most likely happen if you have set bad settings when exporting the animation like you for example turn on tweening to a non tweening animation or something like that, but idk your case so that would be a thing to see more in depth
– the audio thing its most likely not a bug is normal, if you play audio in a last frame, its common to find out that the sound needs some frames to start up and this relays heavily on the FPS you use, do not blame the app for that, if your sound starts at 0.5 seconds and you have set 24 FPS for your animation you would need 12 frames for the sound to play it on the animation.
-The last one its ONE OF THE MOST BIGGEST WARNING by Ralph, the update introduces lot and really cool features but its also makes your device work more harder to keep the app running in optimal conditions so if you experience lag you probably wanna turn off the filters and hope that you experience less lag because the filters aren’t the only thing that will put you in a pinch there <3
i encourage you too split your project and continue from the last frame to avoid unnecesary lag and get fun animating your project.
any doubt or "BUG" you have found out you may try to speak with me before to confirm what you experience is not a bug but a common issue you will find at animating on Stick Nodes, now have fun 😀
you’re hired as official PR-spokesman
@heckray pretty much nailed it but just to quickly throw in my comments
1) blur – in the app it’s a low-quality blur, exported it’s higher quality, this may make it appear “less blurred” I suppose but it’s just better looking really
2) framerate – I’ve seen this complaint a few times in the past few months/years maybe, but idk I don’t think it’s an app issue
the issue may lie with the playback app your using (video player) or gif player because when I tell people to send me their “fast” exported animations, they’re not fast for me…so the file is actually correct
3) if you mean audio on the last frame doesn’t play that’s because it (typically) has only 0.1 seconds to play the sound…which obviously isn’t enough lol, so it’s like it never even plays
4) yeah, lag is an issue, are you using filters? If so then that’s the big culprit
in 2.2.1 I have an idea how to make lag a little better but it may not work
in the end this is just a very cpu-intense app (every single node is a draw call, lots of math) which is why I have the 256 limit per stickfigures
as much as I hate apple, their devices (phones and tablets) run SN best, but high-end Android devices are just as good
