I’m designing a large robot with personality, that he can go inside to like a mech.
This gives me idea, he shares his soul to other miniature robots and control them. He can take his soul back any time.

But yeah, pretty cool, though for the first guy, he should have more downsides considering he’s a clone, like a deformed brain. So while he’s mostly super intelligent, he just can’t understand certain emotions like love or empathy

well, you said he’s a clone, basically a biological experiment.
maybe he was going to be one of many super soldiers that were going to be part of some sort of unknown illuminati-like government trying to create their ‘perfect world’. this could be a world where poor people are killed off or some other unethical s**t, it’s your choice.
basically, he’s the only one to go rogue and using the knowledge everyone else is unaware of, has to take down this evil government.
it may be a little cliche but a good plot can overwhelm cliches.
I don’t know, i’m gonna have to study Alzheimer’s and know it’s limits to make this “knowledge which he only knows”.
Dunno, i might go for ‘Matrix style’ which the enemies can force their conscious to a civilian.
