Sweet, maybe some darker gradient action behind said fur to show a bit of depth, you could even do a sort of second or third layer of fur with some gradient to make it stand out also as fur, your call.

I see, you should add more of a transition with it so it looks more like a skin change instead of similarly coloured boots.
All in all a good design but perhaps colour and structuring could be changed a bit.
