why is minecraft seen as a more acceptable game than fortnite

I guess because Minecraft has been out for such a long time and fortnite is newer and can’t do as much as Minecraft. I mean you could get a fortnite mod on Minecraft.

Also Minecraft is a sandbox game and is more fun than fortnite.

One of them is a game built around unleashing your creativity in a way that no other media can do. Providing you both a fun survival based mode where you use that creativity to survive in a world whereyou can manipulate literally everything. While, the other mode is a version with absolutely infinite possibilities to create anything you can think of.
The other is a buggy mess of a battle royale multiplayer game that removes and adds features seemingly at random, cares little about its own community and that charges you £20 for one skin.
The reasons are quite frankly obvious
