It’s too vague and very mysterious, it can work but you’ll need more context details as you go along and a more realistic opening content.

Plus unless there’s a better end goal then just escape it’s a lot of lead up and simplicity only for an equally bitter ending, if it were like Saw with on-the-edge-of-your-seats horror and intrigue, some motives it might work but right now too little is known and unless you have more I doubt it’ll pick up enough.
