in that case it would be emphatizing the personality of raymond more than all since is the only important character that is gotta take a part of the main animation, but since the animation is not too long it would be from start to finish maybe a 45/25% since its time on camera is not so long, this focuses more on a battle since im not taking a part on the main plot and just being a third character in a entire collab of 30 minutes.
the collab does show of what you re talking about by the way but what im doing is just raw fight and trying to survive and not die

i like how my character is about to be put into the mystery rhg

noup, you all wrong there, this one is most likely soldiers all around trying to beat some rare bots with lasers and strange stuff that i shouldnt animate at all since… is not just what i like to do lol

it is a project, the lenght of the animation does it matters too, but as long the lenght is not so long the animation should not take so much time.

A 1-2 minute long project of Stick Nodes is coming in the next week, lot of effects and cool animation that might give you inspiration to animate 😀

1 to 2 minutes isn’t really a project tough
it is!

StickNodes Movie is a Project…
THAT IS 1 HOUR LONG
Thats a fact. But its in episode of 2 to 5 mins long. or something like that. if not, then kill me right now.
User Banned
in fact it’s 4 to 7, however once they’re all finished, they will be released in a complete edition with a revamped Ep1, extra scenes, improved quality for early Eps and no ‘To Be Continued’
it is a project, the lenght of the animation does it matters too, but as long the lenght is not so long the animation should not take so much time.

Well of course it won’t take long, you do use Scarf Figs after all. 70% fighting, 30% other I’m guessing?
noup, you all wrong there, this one is most likely soldiers all around trying to beat some rare bots with lasers and strange stuff that i shouldnt animate at all since… is not just what i like to do lol

What about the percentages though, how much is fighting, how much is actual character development
50% fighting %35 developing effects and figures for backgrounds, 15 % chit-chat
User Banned
I mean by in the actual animation, I don’t mean development as in making the figs, i mean how much of the animation is dedicated to showing the view the characters, establishing their personalities and letting us get to know them so that when we see them die (if), the viewer will feel it and will be gripped to the animation.
Chit-chat as you call it is a part of development as the characters can talk about who they are, where they came from, who they like, what they hate, etc…
It is always important to give characters diverse and complex personalities as it makes them more real. I always take these rules into consideration when animating the StickNodes Movie; i add in lots of pauses where characters can chat and let their personality flow rather than lobbing a thousand Node Spawns at them from start to finish.

Now, what is your new percentage?
in that case it would be emphatizing the personality of raymond more than all since is the only important character that is gotta take a part of the main animation, but since the animation is not too long it would be from start to finish maybe a 45/25% since its time on camera is not so long, this focuses more on a battle since im not taking a part on the main plot and just being a third character in a entire collab of 30 minutes.

If you want a survival thing, there’s something WAY more effectful and heart wrenching and it’s watching a character loose hope and slowly die alone.
Have the setting be an apocalypse of sorts like after a Nuklear strike or during a war. Have the character stuck in one place, surviving on what little they have. At first they’re hopeful, telling themselves that help will arrive eventually. Then as a day passes, their wounds get infected, but they persist. Another day passes and they’ve began to go pale, they’re running out of food and fast and the electricity has gone out. Another day passes and they’re resorting to eating dog food, it is dark, their infection has grown worse and their voice is course, they try to call for help but they can barely talk, let alone shout. Another day and the water is gone, the food is gone, the infection has caused gangrene on his flesh, his eyes are red raw, his voice has reduced to mere whimpers and wheezes. He kneels and prays that someone or something could come and help him. The next day passes and they are dead, a limp and festered corpse in the middle of a wasteland.
It carries a powerful message, especially towards anti-war. It shows the true horrors of survival and that it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. It could create an animation that could bring tears to eyes if done right, it would be a work of art.
indeed it could, but i just have a day to turn on my part, i will try to keep it short and not so generic but thats all i can do in a day

If it HAS to be a fight, maybe try to spin things up a little by using the surroundings as a weapon like slamming a chair over someone’s head or swinging on a roof light to kick someone. Maybe go full temple of doom on em’ and suffocate them on a rope tied to a roof fan
actually nvm, i will not turn in my part in time but i gotta finish this in 3 days maybe so i can make something inspiring with cool animation in it 🙂

It only takes me hours for my collab entries, you aren’t pushing yourself, that or you’re doing so in the right direction.
You have the brain to realise the Tween+Do not Tween Button combo is superior right?
im not one of the oldest veterans stick nodes for nothing huehuehue, the animation quality in this one is medium/high, in this case the tween and do not tween feature would have help a lot and saved time but its still not enough for finish in time.
so instead of cancelling the entry i will finish even if i am not in time.
but the result will be worth

If you are a non tweener i will get 200% mad
how so? yep i dont tween and i have some good reasons of why to not tween my animations or at least some i used to tween in the beginning too, tween is also a good thing in good hands i have some people in my sight of nice example of tweeners.
guess you gotta be going 200% mad but i will like to know why and i will tell you my bases for why i dont tween.
User Banned
I honestly think pure tweeners and non-tweeners are really not understanding what either side is missing out on. Those who combine the two get the easy use, realistic pace and smoothness of tween while still making some sudden movements with non-tweeen
User Banned
*tween lol
when you tween and do not tween at the same time when animating a lot of stickfigures at the same time and too much is happening, you cant animate a guy getting hit by a bullet meanwhile another one is getting punched (depending of the poses) or the animation seems to be smooth but not as intended or is just not realistic as the move needs to be, this happens when animating multiple figures at the same time, since tween cant just be applied to individual stickfigures but all the frame and this cant be avoided sadly, tween is a powerful tool but lot of people dont realize the truly potential of tween yet still this can damage your animation skills in the long run by the way, people who relays heavily on tween when someone get used to it and doesn’t animate in another 3 party apps such as flipa clip, pivot, flash, etc
not saying tween is bad but it can be a obstacle when you try to improve in animation
User Banned
exept that’s all totally obliterated by the new feature in the update to not tween a single figure while the others are tweened
i totally forgot about that lmao.
since i ve been working with key frames lately its like the tweening option in figures dissapeared below my nose.

Tween/Non Tween combo strikes again
I thought I would never see the day when a scarf user is talking back to epitaph
mmmm is not like it scarves do something at all is just an accesory for a fictional character
im a part of the community as well so its nothing strange too see people interacting over here 😀
as well i think i will make a video, as soon epitaph made mention of the feature a crazy/bizarre idea went to my head and i gotta bring it as soon i finish my project 😀

the only reason why scarves themselves have grown a bad reputation is from the collective term ‘Scarf User’ which classifies users who’s RHGs are very basic and bland, usually just a base fig or a base with a scarf who makes 90% fight animations with very little if not zero plot and 10% other s**t nobody cares about.
they used to only be prodded for their unoriginality but since i arrived and preached the idea of creative, unique and original content, Scarf Users have become a pet hate of nearly the entire community. it’s why i urge you to try these new ideas and to hook up with a new and creative RHG as to avoid unnecessary conflict.
also i can agree with the originality of creating a character, they dont need to have a scarf or something that is overused, people usually tends to recreate some sort of scene from something you probably saw before and copy it which is just super bad, unoriginal and it just shows how bad the user is at trying to create a feeling in an animation and is not just only that, but the fact that some people relays heavily on other works to create their own content just to copy it and call it their own work or the normies stealers that goes to your youtube channel, steals your video and say they made it, how funny <3

i respect Heckray as he’s very polite, unfortunately most scarf users like JokerExecution aren’t like this so i show them as a little more aggression than they show me to back em’ down and know they ain’t messin’ around with ‘just another user’
i ain’t being unoriginal or not creative i dont want to be just making the usual thing people used to watch in 201X , instead i want to do two series and keep my “usual” content on going like to do some comedy for some people that understands my form of humour.
the first series will have to do something with a game i will develop in the future and the other one is the backhistory of my character.
right now as i am, people knows me for my character more as a meme than anything else i have done before but im fine with that and i do like that fact, i would like to be been know by my skills in the animation before anything but meh i will prove to be something else when the time comes.
You’re right, even if your stickfigure is bland as a slice of bread, the story or series that go along with the character should be interesting and thrilling. I don’t really have a problem with scarves but some people just use that for their character and go animate without actually using it for great things. people like mei, D41V1D and you have simplistic characters but you guys have great animation skills and a great story to back them up.
