yo @ralph I think you should add a “preview frame(s)” feature, in which you can play a frame or a group of frames by typing in the start and end frames, so you can see what that part of your animation looks like without the nodes, without going back to a specific frame every time, without trying to preview a frame with those small frame previews at the top, and without dealing with the animation going past the section you want to see
also, you should add a button for both this (possible) preview feature and the regular “Play” button that enables/disables looping when playing the animation (the last frame to the first frame, in case you’re drunk af), and if you want to, enable looping automatically when there’s only one frame that the user wants to preview
I hope you encounter no struggles when you’re trying to add these in, as well as everybody else’s ideas
“I hope you encounter no struggles when you’re trying to add these in, as well as everybody else’s ideas”
nice try attempting to butter me up
*ahem*
no
nah I’m kidding
it’s a good idea, I don’t want to clutter the UI with many features that users suggest (all good, don’t get me wrong) but kinda advanced that 99.9% of users won’t understand or use
I was thinking I could do a thing where
– press play
– animation plays
– press play again (marks the “end” of the loop you want to see)
– animation resets to initial play position, continues playing, and never plays beyond that marked point (loops back)
that cool and all but
timing rather than setting an assigned frame to end at
add that to the lag that some users’ devices have/some animations give, and
that’ll probably result in rage and whatnot
yee
and tbh
it’s not that hard to learn about/use
i think
i mean, you just type in some numbers when a GUI pops up and check/uncheck a box
and the amount of people people who will use it will (gradually) grow, since people may be starting to make longer animations in the future because
longer videos=more subs
anyways, these features can be extremely helpful
for example, if you were to make “part6”, and a section of the animation looked weird, you can type in the start and end frame, and keep looping that section until you figure out what looks weird about that section, rather than playing the animation from that start frame, and having to press the stop and play buttons over and over again, or turning that section into a GIF (which can take long, and is inconvenient, especially for <iOS 11 users, like the both of us)
no I know what you’re saying, I agree, i would use it for sure
but I also love “frame delay”…
AND FOR SOME REASON, LIKE 90% OF PEOPLE HERE ON THE WEBSITE DON’T EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT
…let alone all the more “casual” SN users >_>
thats what I mean by adding more buttons and complexity 1) its work, 2) not many care/use it, 3) it actually scares some away because of all the nonsense they don’t feel like learning
am part of 10% : D
1) much rip
2) does anyone even use the
-frame delay
-silence all sounds
-the save button (jok)
-importing pivot files
anyways, i want to talk about number 3
remember the add tweened frame thing
you had to use a video to explain it
that is all
yee
