On this same day in 1878, one of the most iconic figures of the Mexican Revolution was born in Durango: Doroteo Arango Arambula, alias “Pancho Villa.” Leader of the Northern Division of the revolutionaries, defender of the people, and symbol of resistance, his legacy lives on in Mexican history as a reminder that we will always fight in the face of opresion and injustice.
