Greetings cowboys, today we will be giving my personal opinion on some of the best “ballads” of the old west, let’s dig right in as if it were a bowl of pork and beans.

EL PASO

Simple, gentle, and heartbreaking, not a man telling you about his many escapades or incredible feats, but a sad drunk telling you the story of his death, very fitting.

BILLY THE KID

Great song about one of the west’s most feaared killers, really reminds you just how tragic Billy’s life was when you consider the fact that he was running from the law before he could even vote, great reminder that crime never pays too.

THE BALLAD OF BOOT HILL

Much like El Paso, this song isnt your usual ballad of incredible feats, but rather a harmonizing tune, like a sweet lullaby to put all the souls to rest.
