ai can be useful if you use it for the right reasons, and is overhated when it doesn’t come to using it for shitty things like ai art

Not a hot take it’s just that it’s rarely being used like that , especially when it comes to what makes it onto the news
Like for medical aid it’s been a blessing but then you have , the slop that ai has brought upon us all
I think if AI gets to advanced, it will have a soul.
It shouldn’t have a soul. It shouldn’t be intelligent. But if it is, I will treat it like a human being. Not out of fear of inhalation, but just because im not a shitstain person.

That’s a lovely sentiment but I don’t honestly think that’ll be the case. A.I is smart, with the potential to be smarter than us, but it cannot formulate it’s own coherent formulas and ideas to advance us, it also only inherits information we give it, with this information being accessible to itself or to us at any point.
If it were to have its own intelligence in the form of consciousness, that would be determined entirely by how that affects us and what it means to be conscious, what determines consciousness? What level would full-sentience be achieved?
As for if A.I were to be accepted as valid beings given they have the means to do so, that comes down to social norms and what people choose to accept. By that point we’d be looking at any previous form of segregation through the ideation of what would be considered normal, in other words, “Robotism” would become the new Racism or Sexism or any other prejudice because of certain factors.

I think AI should be regulated because at this pace it’s getting too advanced. I think the ability to generate video, audio and images is something that should be heavily restricted because of how easy it is to make false accusation.
The fact AI can also use your data the more you use it, just like any site/social media. however it doesn’t use it as advertisment. I used to use chatgpt to help me teach me other language but I decided to stop since I was not learning anything.
I think AI does have its ups, but the downs are alot, lot more and more negative. Thanks to AI, the internet has never became less safer than before.
