Listen, the way I went about creating my characters and perfecting them was very difficult and required patience. The first version of my Merlin character was literally a base with a tail and a few lines on it’s head to simulate a dinosaur head. Later on I started making changes over the three short years that I had sticknodes until He is what he is today.

Criticism isn’t supposed to make you feel good, but being unnecessarily harsh is a terrible form of criticism. It’s basic human nature. if someone’s mean to you for little reason, you want to talk to them less.
Someone who truly cared about someone getting better and improving wouldn’t be hostile from the get go. Imagine if a kid was having problem with a math question and then the teacher fucking yells at him. Not a good teacher huh?
Maybe if people aren’t listening to your criticism, you’re not a good critic. You can’t blame the person you’re critiquing Everytime. By getting angry so fast it makes it seem less like you want to help and more like you’re trying to boost your ego.
