That’s also true but many animators have chosen to stay with companies for example Pixar.

Guys y’all might wanna be an animator right now but it’s a terrible job because how unstable it is. Let’s say you’re an average animator you can do everything at an average rate and with average quality, if the studio doesn’t notice you they would kick you out in seconds. Then what if you show or movie gets canceled your job could get canceled. Like many jobs where u live changes pay and places like California tend to pay the most a Hollywood isn’t cheap to live in and they adjust to the trends so that movie maybe isn’t to the trend. Basically there are 100’s if people working on 1 thing alone and if they can’t find anything for you to do you have to hope and prey that they do or you could be fired. Pay wise it pays good ig for my standards it pays terrible but to other it might be good depending on your role you can get paid up to 2-3k a week and have and up to 100k+ a year. If they’re notice you and consistently pick you and as your role and experience go up you’ll be making good money again standards for different people money wise. Then what if I Youtube animate that has a high chance of getting successful only if you’re a good consistent one like fabiano he post almost every month.

Animating is a free-lance job meaning you’d just go around offering your skills to companies or other smaller businesses.
A smoother route for animating is Youtube, if you can get a patreon set up and a good fan base than the money should flow in without you even needing to animate and upload anything for a while. It is difficult to get started however as you would need to get your name out first even if you were the best animator like I said you’d need to be known to be successful.
That’s also true but many animators have chosen to stay with companies for example Pixar.
According to an article by someone who supposedly worked there, the pay was terrible, they could barely live day by day properly because of money problems.
Yeah I somebody also said that on YouTube video. They care more about quantity than quality.
You’d have independent contractors which would mean bad health care benefits
i do animations for fun doe
