I think the crouch attacks are a good idea. Just put: 5 ground attacks, Up down side side and jabs/combos or whatever.
5 mid-air attacks, up down left right neutral(not moving)
4 specials, up down side side(the side-side attacks are the same) shielding, walking, dash, run, (run is after the dash) skid(when they turn around while dashing) idle, crouch, climb, spot-dodge(dodge in place), roll (left and right), and then the extra stuff like jump intros ect.
Actually, I donβt think the crouch attacks will work that well unless crouch is a toggle-able thing every character has.
Then again, itβs your game.βyou can do whatever you want with it, I just wanna try and help.

the reason i had 3 different variants of each thing was so it would look cool and there would be a variety, but that’s way too much work
please, if you have any advice at anytime please tell me, i have no idea what I’m doing here
