It’s common knowledge!
It’s not because it’s useless but because they can’t offer a dedicated course to student’s interests or future life pursuits, they have to teach in a broad spectrum to meet all points and encompass a majority of students and what they will need to know to go into adult life in the future.
Most school districts simply don’t have the time or resources to offer in-depth courses on more niche subjects or fields of study, that’s why trade schools exist and college courses exist. They serve a broad overview of the main subjects, which may include things you might not need to know necessarily in the future, but some of this stuff can be applied to life.
