You are improving slowly and surely and thats good…..with black stick fig you should make like the knockback on him go to the right not upward for more realism also while black stick fig is getting knockbacked make him move a little for realism (for example if I burn and torch someone they will scream and will try to put the fire out and they will step back a little since the burn hurts really bad)

Is the power of the bullet supposed to be high medium or low?
If it’s low, try to make it so the stick steps back and the takes a second to fall
If it’s medium, try to make it so the stick launches back a bit and falls
If it’s high, as soon as the bullet touches… just put the stickfigure out of the camera in the direction the bullet goes, I can give you animation classes if you want!
