Well, the best thing to do is untween the frame BEFORE the fist hits its mark. On the frame where the fist connects you should ad a punch trail effect. This will make the punches seem like they have more impact. This works with kicks as well. You should also move the camera on the punch trail frame. I prefer to have my figures all the same color so it blends in more. Make sure that every limb is always moving to. ‘‘This will give it a reall smooth effect.

For the last part, you definitely heard that on a YouTube video because of the videos pretty popular. And a whole lot of that was what you are used to in animating people use there own techniques and ways so that advice will most likely not pierce his mind. Impact wise nowadays you can’t tell a tweened from none tweened animation because people are getting so good. And if it’s not tweened he should make it 2 hits at high fps tweening makes you do more for impact from what I know. And just moving all limbs is dumb you have to move them in intent to ade your next move. Everything you said was from a video…
All of the above and specifically the third one down are very good to learn on animating and a humongous tip don’t be hesitant, you don’t get better that way.
Me?
What do you suggest?

First true. Second ouch!
I didn’t intend to insult you in any of that. You would’ve been more of an aid by simply showing him the videos.
