• It’s freezing out and I’m unironically thriving thanks to it.

Thanks man. I totally get that entry-level work usually sucks, but the deli is definitely a master of it.
Really hoping I can get myself switched to do stocking full time, going to give the deli another week or two to see if it improves. I’m much more tuned to stocking stuff and keeping everything tidy, especially during the closing shift. It’s kinda enjoyable. The manager is very understanding, and I did tell him that I’m not confident with deli work, so I’ll see if he’ll be willing to get me on more stocking.
And hey, it’s not all Too bad, it’s a very small local-grocery store so we’re not slammed like huge establishments. Except around this time of year. God damn leaf peepers…

  • Finished.
I am starting to despise working at a deli. 1$ of extra pay isn’t worth having to deal with middle aged women from new york who use slang for the sandwiches they want. And the old guys who can’t speak above a whisper. Someone did order a single slice of white bread and was surprised and kinda pissed when it costed a whole dollar, so that’s funny.
We get free coffee at least.

No matter if you leave your job and find another, 9 times out of 10 it’s going to be pretty draining. Stick to it, deliver whatever you can to the job and hopefully you can find some satisfaction or reasoning for keeping it going.

Good luck and all the best

  • Here’s a preview on what I’ve been working on.
Posts might be less frequent for a while since I started a job on monday, which surprisingly has not drained the happiness from my life. (Yet) ((Idk it’s looking good so far, but eh))
I won’t let it take too much attention away from my works. Cheers.

Texturing flutes is kinda fun. Not a finished design, trying to add more “symbolic” stuff for Aprethian culture since this is Zen’s flute.

I have the same issue, except when I spawn figures in normally (through import stickfigures) the gradients are also broken there too, which hasn’t been the case until the hotfix??

  • Lore Bit:
When one strains their essence, either by performing too many feats of power, or by pushing beyond their natural reserves, it can lead to what is known as “essence fever.” The symptoms of which may vary. They may become tired/lethargic, and lose concentration or focus easily, or grow nauseous and dizzy. Some severe cases can even result in small comas. Unlike regular illnesses, essence fever isn’t physical. It is purely a malady of the soul, and cannot be cured through normal medicine. The only cure is by resting and recovering energy. Peculiarly, it may also be treated from simply being around a trusted companion, the essence of said individual easing the strain by naturally sharing small yet steady amounts of energy.

It’s an interesting but entirely new can of worms.
All I’ve managed to figure out is how to make this weird thingamajig.

Very fun to mess around with.

  • Somehow got the job, hired on the spot after the interview. Still kinda sucked.
Allison is also completed. Gonna stop these frequent posts, will post Hydro and Zen’s touch ups once all their normal angles are complete. And some updated art perhaps.

Oh, and Allison has some hair updates.

Seems like a bug, just tried this on one of my own figures and replicated it. Every sideway gradient becomes mirrored.

  • The new tools are fun. A bit confusing but it’ll come with time.
It’s also fun to just do this.
