Work in progress map of Valkyria and the journey outline Lucky and his group takes.
Keep in mind this map is still w.i.p and isn’t finished. The green line is the path Lucky and his group follows the entire story, starting in the Cinder Wastelands.
Here’s a run down on all the areas shown.
Cinder Wastelands: A once lush and beautiful area of land, now full of ash, ruins, and the Valkyries trash. The Valkyries use this area as punishment for those who deserve to be exiled, making them travel to their ground empire for redemption.
Nufk Highlands: An unforgiving cold hell that blocks travel to the ground empire, forcing travelers to either go through the mint forest, or risk dying in the mountains. The mountains here are basically untraveled except for the Wayward passage.
Mint Forest: An eerie, deadly, and quiet forest full of no animal life except Kijolers. Here you risk being grabbed by own and ground into paste if you make too much noise. God save you if you decide to travel through here.
Valkyrie Empire: The ground counterpart for the Valkyrie Empire. Valkyries staying here are usually former Exiles who are prohibited from living in Valksung, the floating city.
Rancid Swamps: Little is known about this place, other than it’s air is so toxic that it’ll kill you in a minute or less. There are lifeforms spotted here but they seem to be very shy and hide in the swamp water.
Old Uir: The lost empire of the former Althers. After all the Althers died, Uir became a land of crumbling castles and forgotten memories. It’s a fairly open kingdom with lots of plains, the only forest being the Lathuri Glade, a rich and prosperous forest with natural springs and so on.
Jekilao: The fading Aquai empire, once proudly strong. It’s home to at least 500 Aquai and the capital still stands, but it’s mostly forgotten.
Burning Valkyrie Ruins: An ever ablaze ruin of former Valkyrie towns and cities, volcanoes, lava, and everything heat related makes this place uninhabitable and dangerous to traverse. All of this was caused by an accidental calamity when a piece of Valksung fell on the ground world.
Valkyrie Ruins: The former capital and living area of the Valkyries before they moved elsewhere. It’s home to the original Valksung which contains the old World Portal.
Dead Islands: Originally part of the Valkyrie ruins, was split in many parts from the violent earthquakes caused by the piece of Valksung hitting the ground world. Largely uninhabitable.
