It’s finally out after 3 long years of production. Also very sorry for my poopy post post earlier it was L rizz 🤢🤢🤢 anyways enjoy and I’m aware of the low quality blame YouTube
Replying to:SillyDamonRosé(🟣🔪🐻🐥🦊🐰)Imma have a look at it and see it fully
On first glance wat
So after seeing it, not watching the extremely long unnecessary parts and only important stuff in the story I gotta say that initially it looked promising but it started going downhill a bit.
At the start, I was pretty much amazed with the choice of songs, both for the dinosaurs showcase and the school intro.
Though I quickly found out that the animation would be inconsistent, since at times there would even be a kinemaster watermark for no reason…
The story it self lacks a bit, it’s mostly just hunt n kill, the characters have the strongest plot armor I have ever seen in my life. Why would a Dino lick a kid before eating them?
The choice of words + humor sometimes looks like it was made by a <13.
Which in some cases can be good as they fit the characters, tho I am not buying that 2 kids manage to escape Dinos easily when the others got beheaded and mauled within seconds.
The music is used very often and it’s loud. Often used to mask the fact that there’s not much of SFX.
The stuff that happens within the movie too is pretty cliche.
The dinasour appearing at the beach was wild.
At times, the characters move really unrealistic as if they were drunk when talking or just sit still. Sometimes they have weird articulations, such as a really begginerish walk cycle, weird running animations, etc…
I understand that there was more than 1 person involved in this. But for further reference it is needed to acknowledge that more people doesn’t necessarily mean better for projects such as this.
Out of nowhere, the scenes got better lighting / SFX for no reason at all. That makes the animation look bad through the rest of the film as it doesn’t meet that quality standard.
The subtitles are awkwardly placed, and I won’t lie, that could’ve been an easy fix.
——-
Tho this doesn’t mean it’s all bad, of course not!
This is the longest Sticknodes film I’ve seen on my 8 years in this platform. It looks good as a whole with its issues, it was 3 years well spent.
I hope Ralph promotes it a lot since it truly does seem interesting and entertaining for the most part.
Sometimes it can be funny too, seeing the little stick figures meet and bond was a warming sight.
I like the idea, plenty. But it needs more work on cooperation with the rest of the team.
Don’t try to make the animation long and the story lacked.
Make it nice and short, enjoyable and entertaining.
Very good stuff for a first movie. You’ve got my congratulations.

I already said this on YouTube but I’ll say it again here. Thanks for the honest review! I’m aware of a the story issues and such and have been for a while but couldn’t fix them since I was already a hour in and kind of had to roll with it. Along with some more inconsistencies with all the characters and can’t even deny they have extremely strong plot armor lol.
For the sequel we are already looking to make the subtitles better. And the editing was done extremely quickly and rushed. Along with the movie originally supposed to be only a hour and 30 minutes and released in July.
Again thanks for the honest review and glad you enjoyed it in the end even with some issues I’ll definitely work on those in the sequel!
2 hours and 35 minutes?
Goddamn
Imma have a look at it and see it fully
On first glance watching over the animation a bit I can see that you absolutely abused the shit out of the “add tweened frame” option… geez…
However, considering the animation is 2:30H+ long then it’s kind of justified.
I’ll come back and write a full review when im done

i deadass expected this to be like, a loop or half of it to be your opening/credits
how did you make a double-feature length film in stick nodes
Micheal white and sir rexy told me to
It took me like 5 months to make .4 seconds
You are the reason it was delayed for over a year
Nuh uh
