And to make it less confusing to the animater and easier to use, id suggest making the smart stretched nodes and the sliding parts move along a fixed axis
But who gives a damm about that

Actually, windows with smart stretch might not be a great idea, leme explain..
So in a real car, the window doesn’t crunch down, it goes down into the door, in between the interior door panal and exterior bodywork, so if you wanted a realistic window/door setup, here is what I recommend doing:
Make the door as normal, but without the window, then off the same node the door is based off of, make another part that’ll behave like the door, but it can move up and down, then (since it is a separate part and doesn’t follow the smart stretch impulse of the door) make it smart stretchable along the X axis. It’ll mean you’d have to move 2 separate nodes when you open the door, but it’ll make it way more realistic.
And if you want really realistic doors, make the door and window 2 completely different stickfigs so you can adjust the opacity (tint) of the window (or door.. idk why you’d need to but you could.. I guess..) and abuse connectors and smart stretch multipliers to make the door look 3D when it’s open, like me
And btw I love the rig so far
