(RANT WARNING!!!!!)
Okay this is prolly a phase but I have always liked these cars…So yall have heard of monte Carlos and regals (probably) but there are more obscure cars that are built on the same platforms that the Montes and the regals are built on (the GM g-body platform)
Some of these rigs are:
Buick regal AKA grand national
Chevy monte carlo
Pontiac grand prix
Oldsmobile cutlass
There are prolly more makes and models im missing but who cares.
So yea yea Chevy monte carlo cool but fuck the monte right now, I wanna shed some light on the Oldsmobile cutlass, specifically the Oldsmobile cutlass Supreme “HURST/OLDS”. This was the original colabApparently these olds’s have a special Hurst transmission that has 2 levers but honestly… look at them.. look at any gm g body really…
One day (prolly a few years down the road) I wanna get a trailer and fish around Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas junkyards to see if I can get the fundamentals of a gm g body car because I’d why, but I don’t wanna pay 20k or more for a MAYBE good g body when I can do it myself for a few thousand less. Hopefully, if I crunch the numbers and it happens to be building one costs more, I just buy one but whatevs, either way, I want one. Rusty or shiny, buick or Chevy, (or Oldsmobile.. or pontiac…)
(random Google photo of Oldsmobile cutlass Supreme “HURST/OLDS”)
Maaan why does this shit get my teenage ass so gitty… it’s a metal box on wheels
