It’s something that infuriates me when I make something like a crown vic and I open the door and it looks like the side of it is completely flat
bro that’s where animation comes in, you add in extra detail to make it seem thicker as the door opens, basically even just a tinted-darker version of the same door itself

For pro, you can copy paste it and add a black tint to it to make a shadowed version of it
