Well, we both know why they are calling out Valentine’s Day, you’re not wrong about just having them find someone so they won’t have reason to complain but still, I wouldn’t say Chevy is a sick freak because of it.

I agree
It’s generally its own culture for people to find someone and experience intimacy and everything in between as soon as possible or to satisfy their desires or loneliness at the first sign of it. It’s understandable but like you said, happiness should be there already, what you have with another should be a means to experience that happiness in different ways and express it to one another.

If you were to ask for my opinion, hating valentine day is not quite a red flag and I do get the sentiment myself as pointed out in the previous comment.
As torres pointed out, it’s just a consumer holiday where nothing feels real, if you love someone just because it is valentine day, I don’t think it is true love.

I think it’s more that Valentine’s Day is a sign to represent love and relationships.
From what I’ve read up it’s all about celebrating love in different forms, typically romantic but still, it does mention friendship too.
It’s not necessarily that you are to love someone primarily on Valentine’s Day but rather to reflect and enjoy it, the same principle applies to other holidays. Christmas for example is either done religiously to celebrate the birth and life of Jesus Christ or to celebrate being with family and enjoying that time you have together.
If there’s any takeaway from these holidays it’s that their meaning and representation can change so in any case, unless you celebrate it, it doesn’t have to really mean anything unless you want it to, at least on a personal level.

Valid point, I still don’t like the idea itself that a single day is meant to represent and be symbolic of love, be it romantic or platonic.
But I digress , you raised very good points and I can’t disagree with them.

Just because you see it as a red flag doesn’t give you the right to insult someone like this, he can have an opinion. He wasn’t even talking to you anyway, why are you on his post if you don’t like him so much lol
Replying to:🏳️⚧️ Addie :3 🏳️⚧️I mean it is though like it’s just another consumer holiday
Funny, the only time I actually enjoyed valentines day is when I used to game the hell out of WOT and WOTB and they had pretty good discounts back in the day, good times.
good
stop being a sick freak and maybe then you’ll be able to not mind being single or get bitches

I like to believe that valentine day is mostly fake, made up to sell more stuff for the consumers.
Now it sounds like copium, but trust me it is what I like to believe.
I mean it is though like it’s just another consumer holiday

As a holiday it’s fully pointless but if I notice video game discounts count me in
Lol I didn’t think about that
im with you, valentines day sucks
I mean maybe when it was first conceived it was peak, but now it’s just over commercialized BS with insanely cringe ads.
