• People are stupid. They think guns are the issue. Mf it aint the guns, its the mf basterds who get them
It aint the guns fault some dumbass teen decided to rob a convenience store with it. First of all, its the parents fault for not raising their kid right, and its the kids fault for thinking thats a good idea. It’s not goddamn smith&wessons fault. Saying its the manufacturers fault is like saying ford should be sued into Satan’s asshole because people can’t fucking drive good anymore.

Moral of the story, teach more people good gun safety and how to appropriately judge situations, so good men with guns can stop the bad men with guns. Also, Americans need to learn to fucking drive better. My dad and soon, I, will have to dodge an average of 1 to 2 accidents daily. JUST TO GO TO WALMART.

Uhh anyways here’s the obligatory song. MJ has so many bangers its not even funny 😭😭

    • it is on guns still

you’re telling me I need dozens of certificates to fix a store’s ac system but mfs can buy BFG’s freely

Gun culture leads to total laxness, to use a dead topic as an example , Kirk’s shooter had extremely easy access to quite the firepower

It’s part of American culture atp so like with you , it’s just normal for mfs to have a whole closet filled with lead , but there’s a huge difference between cars and guns (though on that note the SUV and big fuck ass pickup truck issue this country has , culture that goes pretty hand in hand with gun culture , is yet another example of too many and too deadly , in the hands of idiots , but not the post to get into that)

Guns are not just self defense , they are without any bias or situation , made to hurt people
Be it a robber or school kids , they are inherently made to inflict near lethal force on any living thing 80% of the time

Like be honest , I get it

There’s things in our lives so normalized that atp it’s too late to truly reverse course but shit like this is not normal

You may not even agree with giving kids this young firearms this big but you damn well know gun culture especially in southern and Midwest areas is something even infants are introduced to

Gun laws should for the most part focus on regulations when it comes to who gets guns and that should involve checks on family members/people who live with them but , this is the same country that constantly acts like a hook shootings are an unfortunate truth of the world and not entirely the fault of lead head culture x an ever degrading society that especially rips apart the youth , but again what’s to been done atp that won’t upset the largely white population that puts gun ranges above swimming lessons for their kids

I don’t think you should give kids legit guns at a young age, but I do think you need to teach them firearm safety and how to properly handle, store, and discharge the weapon. Because with something like this, ignorance is dangerous.

And gun regulation is really fucking complex, on one hand, more people should have them, and know how to PROPERLY handle them, but on the other hand, it would let bad people get more of them.

But if you restrict them, that means normal people can’t get them, and bad folks are just going to find another, illegal way to get them.

Bad people only get hold of firearms for the most part due to how lax they’ve become in terms of circulation and tracking

For as much as people like Ralph tell you it’s someone else’s fault there’s still a large percentage of firearms that end up illegally in the hands of shooters , petty criminals , and general idiots
More people also shouldn’t have them ? Where and why is that reasonable, if people want them sure but it’s not on people that are anti-gun or don’t want guns to learn safety

Again using big dangerous SUVs and Trucks as an example people are somehow inherently supposed to take them into account or learn how to drive them despite their total lack of integral safety on the road

If your vehicle needs cameras to see in front of your bumper , you got issues

And yea bad folks will get them now regardless but that’s totally on the culture here atp
Gun deaths here being comparable to countries and nations that the US threw into chaos is nothing short of poetic irony that unfortunately affects every day idiots

I dont think all guns are made to hurt people. Hunting rifles are literally made for um… guess… HUNTING! wowee who would’ve thunk.
Well i guess its the same principle of killing but whatever, uhhhh my 2 cents is that stupid criminals are always gonna figure out a way to get them, either figure out a way to make criminals poof into thin air, or make firearms safety more wide spread so people know how to protect them selves

Guns are an unfortunate byproduct of humanity and our shitty desire to kill for no reason. They are also a byproduct of needing to defend ourselves from those who want to kill us for no reason.

In a perfect world, crime isn’t real, dragons are real, and 4 bores and .45ACPs are used to make watermelons go KABOOM and make loud noises.

        Like cars.

Man cars and guns are very similar,
        Sometimes really big✅️
        Loud as hell✅️
        Quiet (?)✅️
        Can look cool as hell✅️
        Metal✅️
        Get hot ✅️

either figure out a way to make criminals poof into thin air

That’s a dangerous and dehumanizing mentality
Criminals can be bastards but there’s more fault on the US system as a whole than most people realize

Plus the idea of criminal erasure would inevitably lead to the line for criminality being drawn more and more back in order for some orange fuck off to enforce their bullshit

What I mean by that is make criminals not be criminals, not banish them to the shadow realm

I know some people are genuinely forced into being criminals do to the shitty system. I’m more talking about the fuckwits who go rob a whole Walmart for fun, or steal someones car fo fun

Anyone can buy a random flintlock gun off the shelves, but control for ACTUAL guns is much, MUCH tighter.
Want “mah second umendment!!!”? It’s right there, go buy a Kentucky rifle.

    • I believe the problem lies deeper, on both sides.

So we have gun culture, that’s been established in this conversation. But nobody has yet to tap into the mental side of things.

As a person who has been around MANY kinds of guns, legal.illegal, and HOMEMADE. (the South IS FUCKING CRAZY) I can tell you that… You can never predict what’s going through these people’s heads.
      It’s genuinely absurd.

And then, at the same time, I hear about people who get their guns no problem despite being sooo fuckin questionable (as in Jim Crow level of racism for ex. Lynch people for fun kinda mf) and then, somebody like… A single mother, for example, having to wait so fucking long. And there’s many other complications to it, but that’s a shorter example.

BUT THEN you also get some high schooler who went into his dad’s gun safe and smuggled it to school,
Another way for me to word that is that people who literally cannot have access to guns at the moment are always victims to said fucking guns, and something always has to happen first for something to change… And at this rate is that even true anymore? should I even mention a particular shooting in Texas? Cops didn’t do shit there and they know damn well they could’ve.

I’m not an expert at any of this, but, I definitely feel like we have a completely scrambled and messed up system, and an incompetence problem.

And if we’re not careful we’re going to end up like some middle Eastern country with guns are everywhere, so that everyone can defend themselves at any moment. (that’s a real phenomenon by the way)

I also believe it’s mental stuff, I just hate it when people blame everything but the perpetrator

Like bro no… it’s not smith&wessons or armalites fault some depressed kid with low self esteem and an abusive dad went and shot up a 7-11. That’s on the dad. And kid.
