what is your series, how “serious” is it, is it a comedy? – doesn’t matter really, it’s up to you what the characters look like
My series Is about a group of characters (the ones in the picture) trying to defeat the “Dark Lord” (not gonna tell you who it is yet) oof now here’s what I have thought of for the characters
James-literally the weakest,least useful dude in the team, doesn’t even have a weapon
Blake-a scientist who carries the team in situations where ranged weapons are needed
Subject291-a test subject who was shunned by society because of how different she was. She can turn herself into a mutant form for short periods of time, is the strongest character on the team but has weak ranged attack
Niko-A Girl who is the second weakest But is quite agile, able to dodge bullets
(should I make Niko or Subject-291 only speak Japanese, or is that a crappy idea)

seems like you have a lot of it thought out already, that’s good
I will say people respond better to less-stickfigure-y people (even just slightly more detail on your characters, like unique hair/clothes – and faces)
but do whatever you want

well, depends, it can be done, if it’s done in a funny way where maybe characters don’t understand him, but some do, idk
