This is the Dumbo Octopus. It is the only species in the genus Grimpoteuthis, and lives in the deep sea. It’s name originates from its fins which help it swim throughout the water, similar to the how the ears of Dumbo (the Elephant) help it fly, as seen in the 1941 movie.
