Naw it’s pretty decent. Don’t call hard work bad, instead look at it as a base, a foundation you can build up on, improve on, and mold. Like a stickfigure you draw, in which you can continuously improve on it’s physique, give it more expression, clothing, anything, until you have a art-piece that you can be proud of.
