heyyyy! Jet offered me to do this so here I am no way!

so basically, jimmy chamberlin is the drummer of the smashing pumpkins (scott pilgrim reference) and the BEST DRUMMER EVER. If you listen to ‘siamese dream’ or ‘mellon collie and the infinite sadness’ some of the drums are fucking unbelievable and what makes it better is that they work so well and actually sound good! He also has like a full solo album called ‘jimmy chamberlin complex’ which has some great drums and is more jazz than the smashing pumpkins, but LISTEN TO SIAMESE AND MELLON COLLIE! They are actually incredible imo

great stuff in this one, really fast basic grooves that are already hard to follow because he plays so WIERDLY >:(

to forgive

so this song isnt hard to play AT ALL, but thats why I wanna put it here! A great thing about jimmy is that he knows he serves the song. He CAN do these crazy fast fills, but he wont show you that in a lot of their music. ‘1979’ is another great example of this. Its such a basic groove but it works perfectly! A lot of people only know that song too so they have no idea how good of a drummer he really is lol
