2021-03-09 01:50:38 UTC Is it me or do popular users with big egos always leave the site? Like I understand that some of the people here are young and cringey. But why do they have to leave? Are they just too good for the site now?

Also funny random story. As I was filing for my federal refund the irs rejected my federal tax return. Then I realized I put 22 instead of 23 as my birthday date. So I fixed that and it’s accepted now. I’m dumb-

I said “Is it just me or do popular users with big egos leave the site?” That means that a person who is popular and already has a big ego leaves the site. Nothing about them leaving and gaining one. It is true that a lot of popular users have left the site but most of them didn’t have big egos. So I’m just saying. Not everyone who leaves the site has a big ego. I’m only talking about the people who had one from the beginning.

They probably got bored of the site. I know that most of them still look at the daily figures often, but the community can be very repetitive with all the sexjokes, trends, and edgy/vulgar users. I guess they just don’t have want much to do with that, and I don’t blame them. I don’t see myself leaving anytime soon, but I probably am not as active here as I used to be.
Oh yeah I definitely agree that the stuff gets repetitive. Every new trend always dies out, the jokes are barely ever funny, and all I do is basically post memes. Even I hate that about myself lol- But it is nice to see some familiar faces pop up every now and then. It wouldn’t hurt to come on the site and say something one a week or something though-
I’m a somewhat old user who joined the community in 2017. This place is surprisingly chill compared to the earlier days, old users probably just move to Discord.
I believe they leave because of boredom…I even find myself getting bored sometimes
What Zilla said but also some of the older users would likely be moving to college and such meaning they’d have their hands full and little to no time on the site.
