And you’re good btw, I also half-assed my post with your faction due to me having to do other things in a short matter of time.
It operates by a few dozen hardlight beacons grounded around the planet, that suspend hexagonal mechanisms that float in the atmosphere. If one is damaged, and the power supply from the beacon is cut, the effects would be catastrophic, leaving a hole in the PDS and rendering it useless.
The sites of the beacons are some of the larger EL bases.
