aight so, the website seems to be performing fine, but it’s doing that thing where emails/notifications are being backlogged (usually this is accompanied by crippling performance but not today)

seems to happen on some Saturdays

unfortunately this is because the full website backup procedure runs at 1am on Saturday morning, but because of the ever-increasing size of the content on the website, it’s taking longer and longer to finish and eats up massive GB of space while it runs

that’s what causes the ruckus on Saturdays

i imagine once it finishes (couple more hours) emails/notifs will work again but as long as performance is fine I’ll leave it be and will try to fix it for future prevention
