“Ralf what the fu-”
Okay.
I accidentally a small thing in the database.
I don’t even know how. But I accidentally a thing.Somehow, that reset the Files plugin (stickfigure submissions) which basically factory reset it.
I shit myself but then grabbed the nightly backup to extract the relevant data and put it back.
It wasn’t working. Mind you messing with these massive database files takes 20-30 minutes to extract the data from them.
I was also setting up a new local clone of the site to properly diagnose wtf happened.
Fast forward hours. I was able to get it restored. Files were corrupt though. Only way to get the actual files back was to just simply replace with the old backup, aka 24 hours ago.
What’s this mean?
I goofed hard but fixed it. We lost the stickfigures uploaded today. I will try to re-upload them. Broken links/images may be around linking to their old/dead pages.

Sorry and thank you for dealing with that
you need to like go to on vacation and let the other admins handle stuff once you’ve fixed everything
have you… ever taken a break?
i feel this in my soul and the “look at my hands” thing is so real to me rn
Haha, this is me…Every. Single. Day.

Just reading this I only imagine Ralph just staring at his computer and all of a sudden some tech stuff happens that us non nerds don’t know about happens and he’s panicking and then I’m panicking because I don’t understand because I’m not a nerd and then buttons are flying my animations dying and people are crying and So on and so forth
oof
Does this mean that figures and thumbnails that were submitted either during the downed time or like right before it are broke?
Or are they safe?
submissions are just emails, not connected to the website front end, those worked fine
