im responding to the point you can’t avoid politics given the recent event because in this case its beneficial for politicians to pander about it and cry crocodile tears
but when similar events happen (Waukesha christmas parade car attack or the month-ago NYC mass subway shooting) the stories fall out of the news cycle faster than you can blink because something wasn’t convenient (black guy killing white people because radicalized (without a gun), and black shooter using a simple handgun in the subway)
