At the risk of repeating myself, I know I asked this question a couple of years ago, and since nothing I did helped, just assumed that the Apple Pencil would never work on my particular iPad. However, I did get a different stylus that has worked beautifully with SN until this latest update. Nothing else on my iPad has changed, and now my stylus that has worked on SN has the same kind of delay the Apple Pencil had. What happened? I even offloaded the app and reloaded it, and rebooted the iPad. All to no avail. Help.
It was probably a deep ass internals bug with the device itself
Honestly , @ralph help this guy
as someone who uses SN with the Apple Pencil every now and then, is there any specifics when it comes to your problem with it? i’ve never really had much delay problems with mine, especially since it’s a first gen one which i’ve had for a few years now, for a better experience with it try turning on precise touches in the app if you havent already
if i were to assume, this is very likely a problem with your replacement stylus itself rather than an iPad or SN problem
if nothing’s changed with your iPad or SN, and then it’s very likely a stylus problem more than anything unfortunately, you might want to test it out on other apps to see if that’s the case
Thanks for the reply. My Apple Pencil has a lag/delay as soon as I try to use it. My newer one, a Zagg, works without delay for a bit, but then, the more I use it, the worse it gets. I do have precise touch turned on, and I’ve used both my Apple Pencil and the Zagg on multiple apps with little to no lag. I’m on an iPad, 7th gen. I need to update the iOS and see if that helps. I’ll let y’all know. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
squi knows more about this than I do, as I am unfamiliar with the iOS devices with a stylus
are there any settings for stylus’ in the iPad settings
i can’t think of another reason there would be such lag, sorry
definitely nothing changed in SN update to update regarding this
Thanks for your response. I’ll have to look for more specific stylus settings in the general iPad settings. I thought maybe I had bogged down my memory since the last update, but after removing a bunch of apps and freeing up a ton of space to get it back to what it had been, I’m still having a lag.
I’ll keep at it, of course, since I love using the app, but if there is anything else I can try, I’m open. Thanks.
