been having an art block too 😔
never thought of how other people only see a finished project in all of its perfectionism, unbeknownst of how much failure, doubt, and retries could have been put into it
it makes art look intimidating

Punch animationwoah, for once revenant posts an animation??
i have not animated in a WHILE. i definetely feel like ive improved and my understanding of animation as a whole has increased by a ton. a while ago i kind of had this problem that constantly led to burnout, and that was because i would usually very "brainlessly" i would just move poses and hope something ends up looking good. i had no actual control over how an animation turned out and as good as some of my older animations were, it always felt like they were driven off of "luck",
for some reason i cant explain, i just am "UNDERSTANDING" animation more. like momentum and overall human-like body control, like with the ease out when he takes a footstep, or how his legs stay moving in their momentum while his torso and hips are slowing down, or how he controls his hip first while stopping his step before actually easing back into the momentum of the walk. human stuff
for me, things like this i had 0 control over and im surprised how im able to be so mindful of it now. its honestly just really nice to finally notice improvement.
and um i also just wanted to say like thank you to a bunch of my friends and people ive frequently known on this site for just being there and watching my progression and improvement throughout the years, it means alot to me
okay ill stop rambling
