“I got a call that one of our Sauroposeidons has been shot, a few weeks ago. The only adult male we have in the Sanctuary was found in a tree grove, away from the herd, collasped on the ground.
“He had an entry wound of a bullet behind his shoulder girdle. That is an area that hunters normally use to puncture the heart or lungs of an animal such as deer or antelope to drop the animal. The caliber that was used we’ve suspected to be of high enough caliber to down elephants or similar sized wildlife. Thankfully adult Sauroposeidon are ten times the size of elephants.
“The massive dinosaur was transported to our medical facility to try and keep the colossus alive, as when we gad first arrived to assess the scene, he could barely lift his head.
“But thankfully, weeks after the ordeal, during a checkup to keep up on the healing progress, he is found to be fit as a fiddle.
” Our very own Achilles who survived a shot to the chest.”
